Cut through the holiday clutter and spend a little time with yourself! Join us to deepen the understanding of your yoga body.
A little knowledge about the body from skeletal system and it’s anatomy is immensely useful for those of us who yoga regularly & are looking to deepen our practice. Since people come in all shapes and sizes, each yogi has a rare opportunity to find yoga within their unique energetic imprint.
In this class you will dive deeper, or get a refresher, about yoga asana from your bones to your breath… with our very own Michelle Roy. Michelle will walk us through: getting to know your unique yoga body; movement within the body; common imbalances within asana; creating alignment and integrity for safety and transitions; safe and efficient spinal and joint movement; core integration and stability; and using modifications to create space and deeper awareness; and, using your breath to move deeper within your asana.
As we move through asana we are trying to create a strong muscular body and a soft, receptive organic body (inner world).
We will flow through an active practice during this class, so be ready to explore your yoga body from a deeper place/understanding.
