Brendan O’Connor is a retired NYPD officer. His dad was from Dublin who played guitar and sang Irish music for 40 years. Brendan retired not long after 9/11, and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. He decided to pick up where his Dad left off, playing Irish music in all of the local pubs. He has opened for such acts as, The Dublin City Ramblers , Emish, Off Kilter, Barleyjuice, just to name a few. Brendan has been THE Irish entertainer in the Myrtle Beach area for the past 14 years. He has sung onstage at Madison Square Garden with Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Roger Daltrey, etc. at the 9/11 benefit concert. Brendan plays a lot of everything, but he truly enjoys just playing Irish songs. Everything from The Dubliners, Christy Moore, Paddy Reilly, The Pogues, U2, Saw Doctors, Flogging Molly, etc.
